Q:

my 2010 walk behind mower

A:

Thank you for your question on the walk behind mower stopping while you were mowing. These new carburetors do not have adjustment jets.

Can you tell if you have spark for the spark plug.

I would suggest replacing the spark plug first.

These emission friendly spark plugs have been known to give some problems.

If that is not the problem then I would suggest draining the fuel out of the carburetor because you may have gotten some moisture in the fuel.

Locate and loosen the carburetor bowl nut to drain any bad fuel out of the bowl. Have a small towel or paper towels available to catch any fuel. You only will need to drain it for only 10 seconds or so to drain what was in the bowl and then retighten the nut and try it again.

If this did not help, then we will need to troubleshoot some more with that information you have found from checking. Please let me know what you found.

Q:

The washer I purchased in October 2010

A:

Thank you for your question.

The washers today are required to meet energy standards that include water consumption. This means they are using less water when they can. Once you start a wash cycle, your washer will fill to a low water level first. Then it will agitate to check the load on the motor. If the load on the motor is too great, the washer will add more water until the load is reduced. The agitator will roll the clothes into the concentrated detergent to clean them. It necessary to add the detergent before the clothes to ensure the detergent is dissolved. On the rinse if you select softener added it will fill the washer to the full level. I have added an image below that has the instructions for the load sensing.

Please let me know if you need further assistance on the washer.
