Q:

Instruction Manual for Rex Portable Blindstitch Hemming Machine RX 518 947408

A:

Thank you for your question on the Blind stitch hemming sewing machine.

I could not find it in a Rex model but I will send you a manual for the WSM CM 500. Your model and the WSM and the Consew 75T are almost exactly a like except for color.

I will send the manual to your e-mail address.

Q:

I have a used treadmill, it is a Proform 830 QT. The choke has something on it and starts to smoke when operating. Is there a way to check the choke to see if it is bad?

A:

You can check the choke with an ohm meter. If you disconnect the choke wires from the terminals they are connected to and test the resistance of the choke, it should read .5 ohms if it is good. It is normal for the choke to get too hot to touch when the motor is running.

You can clean the choke with a mild detergent and warm water. You should remove the choke from the treadmill for cleaning. Water won't damage the choke, but it might damage something else in the treadmill. Let it dry 3-4 hours after cleaning before using it. The coils of wire on the choke are dipped in lacquer so they are waterproof.
