Question and Answers

Q:

How can i adjust my Royal 310 scale?

A:

According to the owner's manual for this scale, I do not see an adjustment for the weight. Make sure that the scale is on a smooth, hard surface. If a previous measurement was taken using the TARE function, be sure to turn the scale off to reset it. These are the only tips that I have regarding your problem. For more help, I recommend calling the Royal Product Support Hotline at 1-732-563-9944. You can also email them at hotline@royal.com.

Q:

18 hp intek stalls out

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the tractor. Next time the engine starts to stall, pull out on the choke. If the engine runs longer the problem is fuel related. I would check the vent hole in the gas cap and the fuel line going to the carburetor. If pulling out on the choke does not make a difference, I recommend checking the engine for spark. As soon as the engine dies, remove the spark plug from the engine and connect it to the spark plug wire. Use a pair of insulated pliers to the base of the spark plug against a metal part of the engine. Now have someone turn the key to the start position. When the engine is turning over you should see the spark plug spark. If the plug does not spark, disconnect the spark plug and insert a screwdriver into the boot of the spark plug wire. Make sure to hold onto the handle of the screwdriver. Hold the metal portion of the screwdriver close to a bare metal part of the engine. Now have someone turn the key to the start position. If you see a spark, you need to replace the spark plug. If you do not see, a spark most likely the ignition coil is defective.

Q:

carb issues with B&G 7.0 hp INTEK

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the engine. I recommend checking the condition of the fuel first. If the fuel is older than 5 weeks old, you should drain it and refill with fresh fuel. If the fuel is fine, I recommend cleaning the main jet and the emulsion tube in the carburetor. I have found a video that shows the basic steps of cleaning the carburetor. Click here to watch the video.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance on the engine.
