Electric Range Temperature problems

A:

It is normal for most ovens to cycle above and below the set temperature. That second link for a previous answer describes the proper method for measuring the actual temperature that the oven maintains. It involves taking an average temperature over a 10 minute period after the oven has preheated and then cycles at least 5 times. If that actual average temperature is above or below the set temperature, then you may be able to use the procedure in that article (the first link) to adjust your oven temperature. Your owner's manual may have more specific information for adjusting the temperature in your exact model of range.
