Q:

Can you tell me how many cubic feet my dryer is?

A:

According to your model number, I am showing that this is a 7 cu. ft. capacity dryer.

The link below provides a copy of your owner's manual from the Whirlpool website (www.whirlpool.com). The owner's manual will not give you the specification on capacity, but it does have operational instructions and tips.

If your dryer is not drying properly, you may try checking your venting before buying a new dryer. Here are some tips:

  • Make sure that the lint screen is clean. If you use dryer softener sheets, I recommend washing the lint screen with water to eliminate any potential build-up of residue on the lint screen.
  • Try disconnecting the flexible exhaust duct behind the dryer and drying a medium load with the dryer venting directly into the room. If the load dries properly with the vent disconnected, then you probably have a restriction in the vent duct to the outside of your home.
