Question and Answers

Q:

I have a frigidarie dishwasher #PLD4375RFC3. & I want to know why my timer is stuck. It's stuck on 99 & wont go down. I was told that replacing the control

A:

Hi Mike,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

The PF indicates a power failure. The control has experienced drop in power to the processor. The CL indicates the door switch is open. The control is not receiving power from the door switch.

The first thing I recommend is checking the wire connections at the terminal block. Then make sure the wire connections are tight at the control and the door switch. Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts.

If these items check out you may need to replace the console. The remaining checks will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have a meter and are confident in your ability to safely perform these checks, reply to this post and I will be happy to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here, and if I may be of further assistance, include more details in a reply to this post.

Deadra,

From what you are telling me you will most likely need to replace the main control.

Deadra,

You did not give me a part number for the part you replaced. The main control (part # 154757002) is inside the console. The console (part # 154639207) is the part that has the buttons. If you have replaced the main control and the dishwasher runs cycles but the count down does not change you most likely need a display board (part # 154543401) or console. The tech sheet does not give us checks to determine which of these parts is faulty.

Q:

Frigidarie diswasher

A:

On some models the DELAY START button is used to unlock the control. Make sure that you are holding down the correct button to disable that lock. Try holding down the button for about 10 deliberate seconds (or may even a little longer) to see if you can get the control unlocked. Some models will lock if you hold that button down for about 3 seconds but it may require you to hold it longer to unlock the control.

If the control still won't unlock after following these tips, then you could have a bad control console keypad or a bad electronic control board in the dishwasher. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this type of failure. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you want to try and fix this failure yourself, reply to this thread and we will provide additional technical help.

I provided a service diagnostic test procedure in the image below. You may not be able to enter this test if the air dry button is not working on your control panel. If you can enter that test mode, it will check the major components of the dishwasher. I also provided a wiring schematic for the dishwasher. You can shut off the circuit breaker and check the wiring connections between the control board and the keypad. There is not a keypad matrix available for this dishwasher that will help you determine whether the keypad or the control board is causing this problem. You will probably have to replace the keypanel if the dishwasher will not go into the diagnostic test mode. If you replace the key panel and have the same problem, you will then need to replace the control board. Be sure that you shut off the circuit breaker before accessing internal components. If you need more help, let us know.

Q:

Dishwasher leak

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You can view and look up parts for the Frigidaire model PLD4375RFC3 dishwasher at Sear Parts Direct. The leak could be coming from the area where the heating element leads come through the bottom of the tub.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
