Question and Answers

Q:

What does "OL" error code mean and how to fix it?

A:

Without knowing the model number of your washer I will not be able to provide any model specific information. Generally speaking the "OL" error code could indicate an overloaded washer/friction problem or it could mean the lid is open, depending on the model washer.

From what you are describing it sounds like either the motor is dragging down for some reason or the control board is falsely sensing an overloaded condition. I added an image with some useful information if you have an Oasis washer.

I recommend making a visual inspection by looking under the washer to see if something is obstructing the motor movement, also check between the tub cover & the top of the spin basket. Make sure the basket will move freely up and down too. If you still have the same results after making these checks I would recommend calling a service technician to diagnose & repair.

Be sure to disconnect electrical power before attempting any checks.

Resubmit your question with the model number and details for model specific information.

Q:

Where do I find the model number on my Tappan electronic gas oven?

A:

The model number could be located in one of several areas. If it does not have sealed surface burners, the top should hinge open and it could be located under it. It could be somewhere around the frame of the opening of the oven cavity. It could be behind the broiler drawer or storage drawer or around the lower frame behind the broiler/storage drawer.

Q:

What does F70 and OL indicate on my Kenmore Elite washer?

A:

The F70 and OL error codes indicate that the washer basket is overloaded or that it cannot disengage. The basket of this washer is designed to "float" freely when the tub is filled with water. If it is overloaded or has a mechanical problem disengaging to float as shown in the image below, then the F70 error code will appear.

Make sure that you are not overloading the washer.

If the washer displays this code with little or no garments loaded in the washer, then I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair the unit.
