Q:

Kenmore front loading washer, model number 41744152400. It doesn't spin.

A:

Check that electrical outlet for the washer. Plug a small lamp or appliance into that outlet to make sure that it works properly.

That part 137005020 is the correct replacement control board for that washer. The reed switch for that dispenser is no longer used on that new control board. You can just position those dispenser drawer wires out of the way. The wiring diagram for that washer is shown in the image below with the voltage supply for that control board traced in red and green (actual wire colors black and white). I recommend that you carefully check the voltage on those wires at the control board using a volt/ohm meter. NOTE: You should only check that live voltage if you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely measure it. Wear proper safety equipment (electrical safety gloves and safety goggles) when checking that live voltage. Unplug the washer as soon as that live testing is completed . If that control is getting voltage but will not power up then the replacement control board could be defective or you could have a short in one of the washer components that is dragging down voltage on the board so that it won't power up. If you are not getting voltage at that connection then you could have a bad outlet cord or a wiring failure in between the outlet cord connection and the control board.

These tips may help you determine the cause of this failure. If you need more help, reply with additional details.
