Question and Answers

Q:

Maytag Centennial Commercial Model #MVWC200XW0 Washer Will Not Start Cycle MVWC200XW0 Maytag Washer

A:

The flashing lid lock light normally indicates that the control detected a component failure. The first step in correcting that problem is to recall the error code. I posted images below that should help you recall that code. The first image shows how to enter the diagnostic test mode. The second image shows how to display the fault codes in that test mode. The third image shows the fault codes. I recommend that you try to recall the fault code.

Once you recall that fault code, you may be able to fix the washer yourself. You can order parts from this page: Maytag Washer Model MVWC200XW0 Parts . Be sure that you unplug the washer before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and the fault code that was being displayed in that diagnostic test mode.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Maytag Centennial Washer won't spin.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There could be many possible reasons why it will not agitate or spin. The splutch/pulley may have come loose or a wire may have come disconnected from the motor, actuator or capacitor located under the washer. I strongly suggest calling a service technician with the proper training and knowledge of this model washer to diagnose and repair your washer.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
