Where do I get a battery for my '93 Bonneville?

A:

You can get a battery for your 93 Bonneville at any Sears Auto Store. You can also get one at most any auto parts store.

Q:

frigidaire dishwasher fdb4050lhs1 keeps cutting off

A:

You could have a problem with the door switches, the electronic control or the wiring that is causing this problem. The control will power up but the cycle will not start unless the door switches are "closed" electrically to indicate that the door is shut. I posted some technical information about the door switches and the wiring in the images below. If you want to fix this problem yourself, I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher and access the door switches as shown in the first image below. Check the wiring connections on the door switches and the electronic control as shown in the wiring diagram in the second image. You can use a volt/ohm meter to check the continuity through the door switches when the latch is physically in the closed position. You should measure around zero ohms of resistance (continuity) through both switches in that condition. If one or both switches is bad, then it will need to be replaced. If you find a mechanical problem with the door latch assembly that is preventing the switches from operating properly, then the door latch assembly will need to be repaired or replaced. You can order parts from this page: Frigidaire Dishwasher Model FDB4050LHS1 . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

If you find no problems with the door switch and the wiring connections, then you can try to start the water/service test that is shown in the third image.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Q:

How do I re-program my oven after receiving error 93?

A:

The F93 error code indicates that the maximum oven door unlock time (60 seconds) was exceeded.

Try pressing the CLEAR button first (you probably already tried this). If the code will not clear, shut off the breaker to completely disconnect electrical power for more than 30 seconds. Turn the breaker back on and see if the code returns. If it does then you likely have a problem with the door lock assembly.

If the oven door is locked, then you may need to replace the door lock assembly. If the door is unlocked but the latch is not fully retracted, then this would also be causing your problem.

You could also have a problem with the wiring or the micro-switches on the door lock assembly. A failed EOC (Electronic Oven Control board) could also cause this problem.

I normally recommend that you call a service technician to diagnose and repair this type of problem. I did provide the technical information that a service technician would use to diagnose this failure in the image below. If you are advanced in technical skills and have the ability to safely use the information below, you may be able determine the cause of your problem. Review the information before proceeding. The console and oven door lock assembly are not that easy to access. If you can access the control board then you should be able to check the continuity through the micro-switches in the lock circuit (I highlighted this portion of the wiring diagram). If you attempt to diagnose this problem yourself and need more help, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your range. NOTE: Be sure that you shut off the breaker to the range and shut off the gas supply before accessing internal components. Internal metal edges in the range can be sharp. Protective gloves are recommended.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website if needed.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
