MHWE300VF00 washer has water in tank after finished washing

A:

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

The first thing I recommend is checking the drain pump filter. I have included images below that will help with this.

The next thing you will need to do is check for stored error codes and run the diagnostics. This information is also included below.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed; Sears Parts Direct .

Please perform the diagnostic tests detailed here and report back with your findings. Be sure to record any failures and when they occur along with any error codes that are displayed.

Q:

FREEZES AT ONE MINUTE AND DOES NOT START THE DRAIN, RINSE CYCLES. MHWE300VF00 Maytag Residential washer

A:

Hello David. I am sorry to hear about this problem that you are having with your Maytag washer. I hope that we can help.

According to your description, you seem to be indicating that the problem is intermittent. If that is the case, then the washer can be detecting excessive suds in the tub. Look for foam or excessive suds in the spin basket when you encounter this problem. If you see signs of excessive suds, then I recommend that you drastically cut back on the amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent that you are using. This may help you resolve the problem without replacing any parts.

If that does not help, then you may have a problem with the electronic control board. Unplug the washer for 5 minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in and see if you continue to have problems.

If you still have problems after resetting the electronic control board, then I recommend that you use the diagnostic test shown in the image below. That test will show any fault codes that the washer has recorded. It will also check the major components. The image shows a definition of the fault codes for this washer. That information may point you in the direction of your failure. Note: The fault codes recommend troubleshooting steps that are designed for technicians. You should only follow those troubleshooting steps if you are completely confident in your technical ability so safely complete the test. Unplug the washer before accessing internal components.

If you determine the cause of your failure and need parts, you can order them from this page: Maytag Washer Model MHWE300VF00 Repair Parts.  Unplug the washer before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details including any fault codes that you encountered in the above recommended test.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services Washer Repair.

Q:

Maytag Transport Bolts

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The bolts are used at the back of the washer to keep the tub from moving during shipment.

I added an image below showing how to remove the shipping bolts. Reverse the procedure to install the shipping bolts.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
