Question and Answers

Q:

No Ice MFI2568AEW Maytag Maytag refrigeration

A:

Hello Mark. I am sorry to hear about this problem that you are having with the ice maker in your Maytag refrigerator.

Since the fill valve works, this indicates that your failure is in the ice maker module assembly (part W10519364) or in the wiring between the ice maker assembly and the valve. You can unplug the refrigerator and check for continuity in the wiring between the ice maker and the fill valve. I posted a wiring diagram in the image below that shows that circuit (tan to white wires). Measure the resistance of the ice maker fill valve coil directly at the valve using a volt/ohm meter. Next, measure the resistance through the tan and white wires at the wiring harness that connects to the ice maker assembly. You should measure the same resistance. If you do, then the ice maker assembly will need to be replaced.

If you measure OL -- open load or infinite resistance through the circuit going to the ice maker water fill valve, then you will need to examine and repair the wiring in that circuit.

If you need to replace that ice maker assembly, you can order it from this page: Ice Maker Assembly Part W10519364 for Maytag Refrigerator Model MFI2568AEW.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services Refrigerator Repair.

Mark: If the icemaker is not cycling, then it could be the control board on back providing the freezer temperature is low enough. The icemaker will need to be checked to see if it's getting the 120 volts across the BLK/RED wire and the White wire. If no voltage is measured, I suspect a faulty ice/main control PCB. See image Lyle added in his last response.
