Maytag Dryer - how to replace ignition glow rod or igniter

I am sorry you are having a problem with the dryer. Before attempting any repair of the dryer, unplug it from the wall. Then use the set of instructions in the image below to take the dyer apart. Once you have the front cover removed, you might have enough room to reach the ignitor. Once you have the old ignitor out carefully, install the new ignitor. When handling the genitor only touch the porcelain base. If you touch the element, part of the ignitor the oil from your hands will shorten the life of the ignitor. After you have, the new ignitor in place, reassemble the dryer and check the operation.
