Q:

Circular saw "depth-of-cut" locking lever doesn't tighten down to hold the base plate in position. What can I do to temporarily fix this?

A:

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having a problem with the saw. If the depth lock will not hold I recommend pushing the knob down. Then remove the screw securing the knob and slid the knob off. Rotate the knob up slightly and put it back on the shaft. Now when you push the knob down it should lock the height if it does reinstall the screw and check the operation. If this does not work, you need to order the knob and shaft. The parts for the saw can be ordered from the following link. Replacement parts for Craftsman saw model number 10870.  I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark

Q:

What happened to my post??

A:

Thank you Dale for your question on the Special addition of Sears Tool box, to celebrate an anniversary. I think the only special thing about the box is the outward finish and the logos. Perhaps some special features inside the box. I am afraid that I do not have much more information than that. Since they are more than seven years old Waterloo industries has purged any information on the boxes that you would be looking for. The only thing I can think of is if you can find an old power catalog from year with those tool boxes in it. Sam A.
