Q:

How do I get my dishwasher to spray after clearing debris from the chopper of my Kenmore dishwasher model 665.16379301?

A:

I recommend disconnecting power to the dishwasher and rechecking your sump area as shown below. Make sure that the sump components are reassembled properly. Make sure that the chopper assembly is installed properly. The following link of a previous answer may help you with details of this process: What's the trick re-installing the food chopper assembly on my Kenmore Elite dishwasher?

Make sure that the feed tube is reconnected to the top of the pump outlet properly.

If the unit was spraying properly before you accessed the chopper assembly, then these tips should help you resolve this spray problem.

Q:

Why is my Whirlpool side by side ice maker no longer producing ice?

A:

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help you resolve this problem with your ice maker:

  • Make sure that the wire arm on the ice maker is properly positioned fully in the down position. If it is even slightly raised, the ice maker will not cycle. Try raising it fully up and then placing it back down. This may cause the ice maker to cycle after a few minutes.
  • Check to see if the mold of the ice maker is filled. If not, you could have a blockage in the fill tube. Try filling the ice maker mold manually with water using a squirt bottle or turkey baster. See if the ice maker module ejects the ice. If the ice ejects properly but the ice maker does not refill, check the fill tube for a blockage or freeze plug. You could also have a wiring problem or a bad water solenoid valve preventing the ice maker from refilling with water.
  • The following link of a previous answer describes additional troubleshooting steps for the ice maker: Why won't the ice maker fill with water? The images below show the test points and illustrate the placement of the jumper wire needed to manually cycle the ice maker.

Q:

I have a Health Rider Treadmill that gives me an E21 message. I took the shroud off and the 120 vac & PWM LEDS aren't lit, the 9 vdc & vcc LEDs are lit. HELP!

A:

The voltage for the pwm that goes to the power board on the blue wire is what tells the power board to send the voltage to the motor controller to run the motor. Measure the voltage between blue and black with the plug connected to the power board. If you disconnect the plug from the power board, the voltage can't go to the console.

Put the treadmill into the calibration mode while you are testing voltages. Let the console beep while you test. I am sending an image showing the instructions to put the treadmill into calibration.

You should measure around 1.5 volts dc between bk and blue on the power board when the console is calling for the motor to run. If you don't have that voltage the console or the wire harness between the console and power board are bad.

If you have the 1.5 volts dc and the motor is not running, measure the voltage at the controller. If you don't have the voltage at L and H and L and W, the power supply is bad.
