Question and Answers

How do I remove the timer dial on my Whirlpool washer?

In order to remove the timer knob and dial will require accessing the back of the timer. On the back of the timer where the shaft comes through is a pull and push pin. The pin will need to be pulled about 1/8-1/4 inch before you can pull the timer knob off. There will likely be instruction on how to remove the timer knob on back of the timer. If you have the new timer, look on the back of it.

To remove console: Remove the screw at each console end cap and slide the console forwards and then lift up and hinge it over the rear panel. Once you have removed the timer knob and dial, remove the two screws (key#36) securing the timer to the control bracket which was hidden by the timer dial.
