Question and Answers

Q:

LG dishwasher model LDF6810ST makes snoring noise during wash cycle.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom, details and fix, the LG dishwasher model LDF6810ST is not likely filling with enough water. A lack of water will cause the pump to cavitate/suck air instead of constantly pumping water through the spray arms. If the dishwasher detergent is causing too much suds, it can also cause it to make the same sound and cavitate.

I suspect the water inlet valve filter screen is restricted. I recommend replacing the water inlet valve assembly. Before connecting the water supply to the new water inlet valve, purge a gallon or so of water into a pan before connecting the water supply back to the new water inlet valve. The water inlet valve assembly for LG dishwasher model is part #5221DD1001A which can be ordered from Searspartsdirect.com

The water inlet valve is located under the front of the dishwasher. You will need to remove the elbow threaded into the old valve and install it on the new valve before connecting the water supply tubing.

This may be the issue. If not, please reply and I will be glad to assist you further.

Pete: That could be the case if the dishwasher is getting the proper amount of water. But, like you said, it would generally display an error code if there was an issue with the wash motor. You said by adding some water that it quit making the "snoring" noise and based on adding water, I suspect a lack of water more so than a faulty wash motor. I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher if replacing the water inlet valve does not resolve the "snoring" noise.

Q:

What would cause C:00 to display and constantly beep on my washer while in operation?

A:

I do not have enough information but based on your details the control board is indicating that the washer has been put into the Diagnostic test mode but it would not be beeping. This is most likely being caused by the machine control board. I can't understand how it could actually complete a wash cycle while displaying C:00 while beeping. The C:00 displays when the washer is put into a diagnostic test mode. See image below. I recommend putting the washer into a diagnostic test mode following the instructions in the image below "Starting Diagnostic Test Only". It will automatically go through different various steps while the display changes from C:00 to C:01, C:02, C:03 etc. If it goes through all the steps and shuts off, the likely cause of the C:00 to display is most likely the machine control and it would need to be replaced.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.
