Question and Answers

Install heating subassembly in dryer

Thank you for your question.

I should be able to help you with installing the new heater. First, unplug the dryer. Then remove the two screws that are below the door. Once those two screws are out pull the bottom of the front panel out and unhook it from the top. Then make note of the wires on the door switch and remove them. With the front panel out of the way, you can access the heater element. Remove the screws and note the wire connections before taking them off. Then you can slide out the old element and install the new element in the reverse order.
