Question and Answers

Grease like under the agitator. LCR7244HQ2 Whirlpool Residential washers

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

To remove the agitator you must loosen the 1/4" hex- head screw from the side of the agitator. The 1/4" hex head screw will not be visible. On the side of the agitator about 3/4 of the way down you will see a small opening a little larger than 1/4" in diameter. You will need a 1/4" nut driver and stick it through the opening and loosen the screw. You do not need to take the screw all the way out but the screw must be backed out enough so that the agitator can be lifted off the agitate shaft.

I hope this helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply.
