Question and Answers

Q:

television green color screen LC320SLX Sylvania Lcd television

A:

That green color screen can be caused by loose input connections. I recommend that you check all of the component connections.

The green tint can also be caused by interference. Magnetic devices such as speakers can distort the picture tint.

A problem with an electronic control board in the TV can also cause this problem. Turn off the TV and unplug it for 5 minutes. This will reset all of the control boards. Plug it back in and see if the problem returns.

You may need to check all of your settings for your picture. Here is a link for the owner's manual: Sylvania LCD Television Owner's Manual.

I hope that these tips help. If you need further assistance, reply with additional details.

Q:

What can cause the green light to flicker and go out on a Sylvania HD TV?

A:

It sounds like the TV will come up after the circuits have warmed up from trying to be turned on. I would be looking for bloated capacitors based on the fact that you have to try a few times and it will come on. I cannot tell you what you are looking for but there might be some low voltage underrated caps that are getting puffed do to voltage spikes. A technician will know what he is looking for. They are usually found on the power supply itself. There could also be some cracked solder joints that do not make contact until heated.
