Question and Answers

Q:

Why is my Kenmore HE3T washer leaking water from above the pedestal door?

A:

You can unplug the washer and remove the bottom front service panel of the washer using the procedure at the top of the image shown below. With the bottom front service panel removed, you can examine the drain hoses and the bottom of the door boot for a leak. You can also check the door boot for a tear or a loose section without removing this panel.

Once you determine the source of your leak, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your washer if you need help repairing it.

If you cannot find the leak or do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
