Question and Answers

Q:

How to remove front door panel on Kitchen Aid dishwasher model KUDS25SHBL1?

A:

I added an image below with the instructions how to remove the front door panel. The vent cover should only be removed if you are separating the inner door panel from the door frame. (See images below)

Q:

Could the pressure switch cause my KitchenAid dishwasher to leave water after the cycle finishes?

A:

The pressure switch would not prevent the dishwasher from draining water. It will initiate a drain if it senses heavily soiled water while washing only.

You did not indicate if it will pump out any water at all or not. If it pumps some of the water out but leaves water the likely failure is a restriction in the drain system. Check the area for a blockage where the drain hose connects under the sink. You will also need to check for blockage where the drain hose connects at the pump as well.

  • Remove power to the dishwasher by flipping the circuit breaker OFF.
  • Remove the lower toe panel by removing the four (4) screws (key#2) as shown in the image below.
  • Drain the water out by pressing the (Cancel) button.
You will likely have to press Cancel again after it completes the cancel cycle in order to pump all the water out.
  • Remove the drain hose clamp (key#32) by squeezing it and sliding it up the drain hose.
  • Pull the drain hose off the drain hose check valve (key#15). NOTE: Some water is going to come out once you remove the drain hose. Have a towel handy.
  • Remove the check valve (key#15) by turning it counterclockwise (CCW).
  • Clean the debris from the check valve and from the port that the check valve was threaded into.
  • Reconnect the check valve and drain hose and check the drain operation.
