Question and Answers

Q:

Dishwasher not washing KUDS01DLSS2 Kitchenaid Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I must assume the dishwasher is filling with water and the wash motor is running. If the dishwasher is not filling with enough water and/or the wash impeller is damaged, the wash impeller is not going to move/pump enough water to the spray arms in order to clean dishes or dissolve the detergent.

There is also a chopper assembly and disc with a lot of little holes in the chopper blade disc which can become restricted and reduce water flow to the wash impeller which will reduce the pump pressure.

You may need to replace the chopper blade if chopper blades are damaged. You may also need to replace the wash impeller with an impeller kit.

Also make sure the dishwasher is filling with enough water as it did when new.

In order to remove and replace the wash impeller and water seal will require removing the wash motor assembly.
