Question and Answers

Kitchenaid Dishwasher will not go through all cycles

Check that part number on the control board to make sure that you installed the correct one. The part number should be 8564543. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing internal components. I assume that you know how to access that control board since you replaced it but I provided a basic procedure in that third image below in case you need it. I recommend that you check that part number and verify that you used part 8564543 as the replacement control board.

If that part number is correct, I recommend that you check the wiring connections on that control board. The second image shows the wiring diagram for that control board. Make sure that all wiring connections are secure.

If you find no problems with those issues, I recommend that you check to see if that heating element is working. The cycle will stall if that heating element is not working or the thermistor (temperature sensor) is bad. You can use the diagnostic test shown in the first image to test that thermistor (see Note 2 on that test).

If that heating element is bad or the thermistor has failed, then you will need to replace those components. You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing and replacing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
