Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Dehumidifier models 5751, 5840 and 5830

A:

Thank you for your question on the replacement of the auto shut off bucket switch.

You will need to first unplug the unit from the electrical source.

Remove the control knobs from the controls by pulling up on the knobs.

Then locate and remove the two screws on the lower front panel and lift off panel being careful not do damage the indicator light connected to the front panel lens.

Then remove the filter from the back of the unit.

Then you can remove the four lower cabinet screws and lift off the outer cabinet wrap.

You will see the switch you are replacing on the lower left side bracket. Just remove the screws and replace with new switch.

I hope this will help.

Sam A.
