Question and Answers

Q:

I have always had trouble starting my 32cc weed eater with P2 technology. I pump the bulb 10x and nothing.

A:

Your trimmer has an automatic choke on it to make it start easier. I think something is wrong with the automatic choke and it is not choking the engine. Instead of making starting easier, it is making it almost impossible. This is not something you and I can repair. A technician needs to repair your trimmer.

You have a 2 year warranty on the trimmer that includes parts and labor. Take the trimmer to a Sears Parts and Repair Center, or a Sears Retail store and they will get a technician to repair the trimmer for you.

Q:

How do I remove the deck on a Craftsman YT 4000 28927 tractor? I cannot locate parts K, P, and L.

A:

You don't need to remove the deck to replace the blades. You do need to know how to remove the deck though, in case you need to.

Items K, P, and L are mounted to a bracket on the left rear side of the mower. The spring from the idler pulley bracket is attached with K, P,and L.

The manual gives instructions for replacing the blades. You raise the deck to its highest level and replace the blades from underneath. Wear heavy gloves or wrap the blade with a heavy cloth to keep from cutting your hands. The blades are easier to replace with the deck attached to the tractor. The deck won't move around while you are loosening the blade bolts.

Damage to blades from hitting objects is not covered by warranty or protection agreements. I am sorry to hear about your bad luck. We have all done similar things.
