A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

NOTE: Microwaves should only be serviced by technicians with the proper training and experience.

Based on your symptom and details it could have a faulty Inverter. I highly recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your microwave.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

I need a tuning element for my microwave waveguide

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Have you looked at the rack and turntable page at SearsPartsDirect?  Key numbers 8,9 and 10 are heaters. I do not recommend attempting the work or repair your microwave. Call a service technician.

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as replacing fuses, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service.

It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician.

You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.

Dowel; I was not able to locate that part (tuning element) either. I would take it up with K/A. This specific model is quite different than any other invertor type model I have ever seen using a "tuning element". I wish you the best of luck.
