Question and Answers

Q:

How do I open up My Kitchenaid washer?

A:

In order to access the washer components the washer cabinet will have to be removed. The console must be placed in the service position by removing each screw located at the bottom front of the control panel end caps. I added the instructions in the image I added below. Your washer does not have a belt, it is a direct drive washer. There could be something in the drain pump causing the motor to lock up.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before placing the control panel in the service position.
