Question and Answers

Q:

Convert GE slide-in range from LP back to natural gas

A:

The conversion of this range should be performed by a qualified installer.

The instructions for converting the range to LP gas are no longer available in hard copy. I don't have the instructions available in an electronic version. You will normally need to use the information in those LP conversion instructions to convert the range back to natural gas. The orifices for the stove top burners will need to be replaced with the natural gas orifices. If you did not save those natural gas orifices, you can order them from the Sears PartsDirect website. It appears that you will need 3 of the orifices that are part WB28K10030 but without the LP conversion instructions, I am not sure. If you have a copy of those instructions and the natural gas orifices, then this conversion back to natural gas will be much easier. If you don't have that document, I recommend that you contact your local gas supplier and have a technician convert the range. The regulator on the range will normally need to be converted back the natural gas and the oven burners will also need to be adjusted.
