Question and Answers

Q:

IGNITORS WONT' STOP FIRING

A:

That type of problem is normally caused by a bad burner switch. Cleaning the switch will normally not fix that type of failure. You will likely have to replace the wire harness with the burner switches. The burner switches are not available individually. You will need to order the entire harness that includes all of the burner switches. That component is part number W10239016. Here is a direct link for that part: Burner Switches with Harness for JennAir Cooktop JGD3430WB00 . To access those switches, it appears that you will need to pull that cook top out of the cabinet. Shut off the house circuit breaker or unplug the cook top to disconnect electrical power. Shut off the gas supply before pulling that cook top out . Here is a link for the installation instructions: Installation Guide . You can use the information in that manual to remove the cook top from the counter. It appears that you will need to remove the burner box to access and replace those valve switches.
