Question and Answers

Q:

Proper thickness for a built in desk top

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know how thick the key board shelf should be.

Key boards are not very heavy so the weight of the hands resting on the key board is the most critical.

I guess I would need to know as to what you are going to use as material for the desk and key board.

I would say that you should not need any material thicker than 3/4 of and inch.

Please give me more detail as to the material you plan on using.

Q:

Jet pump

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to change the well pipes to a single drop.

The usual difference with single and double drop pipes into the well is the depth of the well.

The single drop well pipe is for a shallow well system where the water lift is 25 ft of less.

The double pipe drop is for wells that are deeper than 25 ft. and the jet package is at the bottom of the well where in the shallow well it is at the top.

You will need to determine if you have a deep well or shallow well, with the water less than 25 ft. down and that any water draw down you would not run out of water.

Please reply and I will be happy to help you further after you determine the well type.

It was brought to my attention that I did not answer you so I need to apologize to you that for some reason I did not get back with you. The pump if you have not already figured this out is that this pump will not work to push water that far and feed 10 sprinkler heads. You would need a 3 to 5 hp pump to adequately supply enough water for all those sprinkler heads. As it is you may be able to supply one head with about 22 psi at .5 gallons per minute, because of the lift and distance from the water supply. Sam A.
