Question and Answers

Q:

How to take a washer machine tub out

A:

Thank you for your question.

I will try to assist you in repairing the washer. The manufacture does not put out disassembly instructions for their washers. I recommend removing as much water from the washer as you can first. Then with the washer unplugged tip the washer back against the wall so you can access the bottom. Once it is secure place towels on the floor to soak up any water. Then remove the hose going to the pump and check for any obstructions. If you do not find any, use a bright light to illuminate the tub to see if you can see anything in the tub. If you do, you will have to rely on your visual observation on how the washer comes apart. I know the top has to be removed first. Then remove the tub ring on the top of the tub. Next, remove the cap on the agitator and remove the bolt. The agitator can be lifted out know. Once that is out remove the nut that secures the basket. With that removed, you can lift out the tub. Once you have the tub cleaned, you can reassemble the washer in the reverse order.

I hope this is helpful.
