Question and Answers

Q:

Water left in bottom of dishwasher

A:

Hi Michael,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

It is unlikely that several units have the same mechanical failure. Since several of the dishwashers are doing the same thing I would suspect an issue with the way the drain lines were set up. Here is a link to the Installation Guide for this dishwasher. It is likely that if the drain loop or air gap is not correct, the units may be siphoning water back in.

Check the drain lines per the installation guide, and If I may be of further assistance, please reply to this post as more details become available.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Michael, Some of the smell may be coming from the hose or the garbage disposal as well. Give them both a look and clean them as well as you can. If you need further assistance, just let me know. Landell
