Question and Answers

Q:

do you have instructions on how to install a glass part on my range - model # GW395LEGq5

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I added an image below with the procedure. It may not be exactly the same as your model but it was the closest instructions I could locate.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Rosalyn; I added two images below showing how to remove the door and how to take the door apart. The top left image in the first image I provided should be specific to your model for removing the door. Once the door has been taken off, the two screws securing the handle must be taken off and all the screws along the bottom of the door. The door can now be separated to access the inner door glass. Note, pay close attention to how the parts are assembled before removing. Take pictures if needed.

Q:

oven burner

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom the Bake ignitor is right on the edge of being too weak to open the gas valve. If the ignitor does not pull enough current/amperage the gas valve will open. I must assume you know how to access the bake burner and ignitor by removing the floor of the oven and flame spreader.

Replace the Bake ignitor and your oven will ignite and operate normally again. The Bake ignitor is part #9782065 which can be ordered from Sears PartsDirect . NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before accessing and replacing the ignitor.
