Question and Answers

GE Refrigerator #GSH25KGMDWW: Thank you for step by step instructions to remove & replace freezer gasket #WR24X10053. Also, by replacing

Follow the instructions that come with the gasket for removing creases. You can use a hair dryer or warm water to smooth out the gasket.

You can fold back the gasket and you will probably find screws that need to be removed from the inner panel to take out that old gasket. Some models have the gasket just inserted between the inner panel and the outer door panel without having screws in that inner door panel. Once you remove the old gasket, you can insert the new gasket and tighten the screws. You may need to remove the door from the refrigerator and place it flat to replace that gasket. I provided a procedure for removing the door in the image below.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Replacing that door gasket should fix your problem with the condensation inside the freezer. Make sure that the door gasket is sealing properly after you install it.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
