Question and Answers

Q:

burner won't light, what parts do I need? GLGFS75DBA Frigidaire Gas range

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You did not clarify if the electrodes on the other 3 burners are sparking or not. If only one electrode is not sparking; the wire lead may have come loose from the electrode. If none of the electrodes will spark no matter which knob is turned to the light position, then it could have disconnected wire at the spark switches or at the spark module. The surface ignition switches are located over the stem of each gas valve. Each burner valve has spark ignition switch. The switches fits over the stem and the switch must remain stationary or the switch assembly will rotate instead of the inner portion which makes and breaks contact in order to complete the voltage supply to the spark module. I added an image below of the wiring diagram and schematic so you can see the spark igniter wiring circuit and an image with the general instructions for hinging the top open and removing the manifold cover. The spark module is likely mounted behind the panel on the back of the range. When any of the surface burner valves are turned to the light position, there should be 120 volts measured across terminal L and N at the spark module. If 120 volts is measured then I would suspect a failed spark module.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
