Question and Answers

Q:

Why is the control panel of my Frigidaire dishwasher flashing the Crystal and Rinse Only lights?

A:

Although you provided details of LED lights that are flashing, you did not indicate what is displayed on the numeric indicator of the LED window. If the dishwasher is displaying a fault code, it will appear in this numeric display. The fault codes for this model are illustrated in the image below.

The flashing status lights could also indicate that the door is open. Try opening and then firmly closing the door. This may cause the dishwasher to resume normal operations.

A power surge or glitch through the electrical lines could have affected the function of the control board. You may be able to correct this type of problem by shutting off the breaker for the dishwasher for several minutes. Turn the breaker back on and see if the dishwasher resumes normal operation. NOTE: After reconnecting power, you will normally see the PF displayed in the LED window. Press the START/CANCEL key to clear this display.

If these tips do not help you resolve your dishwasher problem, resubmit your question with additional information for more help.

Q:

Why is "washing" flashing in the LED window?

A:

Generally when the status light "washing" is flashing it indicates that the door switch has opened or the door is opened. The "ER" and "S" is indicating a door switch failure and that could explain why "PF" will not clear by pressing the Start/Cancel key.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher.
