Question and Answers

Q:

whirlpool duet ht-mod. ghw9400pw0 recently had a AC power surge on incoming power line (at 142 volt) now corrected have a code f-11 on washer will not reset

A:

The first link that Pvalde2 provided in the above response should give you some help in troubleshooting this failure. Here is another copy of that link: What is an F11 error code?

You can check for wiring connection problems as described in the above link (with the washer unplugged ).

Since you had a power surge, the Central Control Unit (also called Machine Control Board -- part 8182280) may need to be replaced. You could also have a bad Motor Control Board (part 8182706). I recommend that you check those control boards for burned spots. If a control board is apparently damaged, you can order a new one from the Sears PartsDirect website.

To avoid replacing unnecessary parts, I recommend that you have a service technician physically examine the washer if you find no apparent cause for the F11 code. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
