A:

Thank you for your question.

The 3 in 1 blade is used for mulching, bagging, and side discharge. We have used this blade for years and it work good for all 3.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

kenmore elite oven slow preheat

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I see by the model number that you have a hidden bake element. Models with a hidden bake element will take longer to pre-heat than those with a visible bake element but it should not take 1 hr and 10 minutes.

Generally speaking the only two causes I can think of causing the oven to take so long to pre-heat is that the hidden bake element is not working or the oven not connected to 220 volts or connected correctly.

Turn the broil feature on and see if the broil element will get red hot or not. If it gets red hot then this would indicate the oven is connected properly to the power supply. If the broil element will not glow red hot then the wall oven is not likely connected to the power supply correctly or you do not have 220 volts supplied to wall oven.

If the broil element will get red hot, you can have your wall oven repaired by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Janina: If the broil element will not glow red hot then the power supply was likely connected wrong or it has the incorrect voltage supply.

Q:

Type 1 conversion kit / parts list Model# 790.74403995

A:

A qualified installer should convert this range back to natural gas. The LP conversion kit instructions normally have information on the how to convert the range back to natural gas from propane. I do not have a copy of those instructions. I will try to get those instructions from the manufacturer. Once I receive those instructions, I should be able to provide the installer with some assistance in converting this range back to natural gas.

I will update this thread as soon as I receive the LP conversion kit instructions from the manufacturer.

Hello David. I just received the LP conversion kit instructions from the manufacturer. Those LP conversion kit instructions included a section for converting the range back to natural gas. The first 3 pages shown below have the information for converting this range back to natural gas. The instructions show the sizes of the orifices that are needed for that natural gas conversion. I do not see those individual orifices listed through the parts diagram on our Sears PartsDirect.com website. I recommend that you check with your gas company or a local appliance parts supplier in your local area to obtain those natural gas orifices (unless you can find the ones that were originally installed in the range). In the 4th image below, I provided the sizes of Propane (LP) orifices that were installed during the conversion. That information should help you with the configuration of the natural gas orifices on the burners. I hope that this information will help your installer properly convert this range. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
