Q:

Dryer Kenmore 11096292100, is there a fsp kit that would work on this model?

A:

Hi Williams,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

There is not a complete kit that I am aware of.

Part number 279769- thermal cutoff, this includes the High-limit thermostat.

Part number 3387134 -cycling thermostat with internal bias heater.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Where can I find the 3" to 4" nut that holds down wash basket of Kenmore Calypso?

A:

The drive hub as broken loose from the spin basket. You can not just purchase the nut; it is not available as a separate part as it comes with the hub which is part of the basket assembly. Part# 285913. You will need to use the lock nut (key#6) that comes with the new basket. The old lock one will not match the threads on the new basket. (See note in the image below)

Q:

removal of A/C window unit to clean filter

A:

Thank you for your question.

You will not have to remove the front panel to remove and clean the air filter.

There is a front door that hinges down for accessing the filter and sliding it up and out for cleaning.

I have given you the instructions from the owner's manual for this procedure.

Please review the image below and if you need help with a deeper cleaning of the evaporator behind the front panel please reply and I will help you further.

I hope these instructions will help you.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question on the cleaning of the window ac unit. Since you have a lot of black mold trapped inside the unit. I would agree that it will need to be removed from the window and the cabinet opened and have it professionally cleaned with a widow ac cleaner solution. If you are going to remove and clean the air conditioner yourself I would suggest you get some help to remove it from the window and remove the cabinet if it is not a sleeve type window unit. Please be careful of the fins on the air conditioner because they can be very sharp and cut your hands. You will also need a brush to clean the fins with as well. I will give you a U tube video on cleaning your window ac. You should be able to purchase the cleaner at your local appliance parts supply house. Sam A.
