Question and Answers

dishwasher model FPHD2491KF0 problem spaying water

This dishwasher has a water level pressure switch instead of a float switch. The normal water level is shown in the first image below. The dishwasher will normally fill to the bottom of the heater support bracket in the bottom of the tub (about 1.2 gallons). The normal fill time is 43 seconds. I recommend that you start a cycle and time the fill. If it lasts 43 seconds then the pressure switch is apparently okay. If the fill time stops before the 43 seconds and that water level shown in the first image is not achieved, then you could have a problem with that water level pressure switch. That component is shown in the parts drawing that I posted in the second image. It is circled in red. The third image shows that fill circuit circled in green. There is a possibility that you have a bad pressure switch if that component is stopping the fill process prematurely.

You can order parts from this page if necessary: Frigidaire Dishwasher Model FPHD2491KF0 Parts . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher and shut off the water supply before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

These initial tips may help you resolve that dishwasher problem. If the dishwasher if filling properly, then you may have a problem with the pump, the control or the spray arms. Reply with additional details if you need further assistance.
