Question and Answers

Q:

Other than replacing the bake element, is there anything else I should check?

A:

DISCONNECT POWER TO THE RANGE BEFORE REMOVING THE BAKE ELEMENT.

Most likely all you need is to replace the bake element part # TS775. Sometimes when the bake element burns out it will emit a hot shower of white sparks. When the bake element burns out it’s possible for it to cause the oven thermostat to fail and not supply voltage to the bake element.

I recommend replacing the bake element first, and if it fails to heat up then a voltage check to the bake element would be needed. Do not check voltage to the element unless you’re knowledgeable about electricity and you are comfortable in doing live voltage checks.
