Question and Answers

Q:

Why does the express freeze button keep beeping ON and OFF?

A:

If express freeze is switching on and off by itself the main control board #6871JB1280P will need to be replaced.

The control board is located on back right hand side behind a removable cover. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before servicing the refrigerator.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your refrigerator.

Q:

What is the difference in the cycles between regular and express wash?

A:

There is only a difference in the amount of time that the washer will agitate when setting the timer dial on the regular or express setting of the dial. For example: On the normal wash cycle, placing the dial on the regular setting will result in the washer agitating for about 18 minutes. Placing the dial on the express setting will result in an agitate time of slightly less agitation time depending on how far you move it past the regular setting. If you place it directly on the express setting, it will agitate for about 16 minutes instead of 18. You can move it past the express mark if you wish. If you place it halfway between regular and rinse, the washer will agitate for about 9 minutes. This allows you to reduce the cycle time if necessary.

Q:

Why is there a marking on my washer cycles that reads Normal/Express?

A:

If your washer dial looks like the one in the first image below, then you may be misunderstanding the markings on the dial. The cycle at the top of the dial is the EXPRESS WASH cycle. The cycle to the left of this is the NORMAL/CASUAL cycle. Using this information, the cycle explanations provided in the owner's manual should make sense (see second image below for examples).

If I misunderstood your question or you have a different type of washer, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your washer.
