Question and Answers

What parts will I need to replace on my GE dryer to stop the squeaking noise?

You dryer seems too new to have worn out slide bearings already. It could have a hard object stuck between the drum and slide or top bearing causing the screeching noise too. If there is no objects or debris found possibly causing the noise then the most likely cause of the squeaking/screeching noise is worn drum slides (key#315&316) and possibly the top bearing (key#313). The drum also has sleeve bearing (key#3106) located on the rear of the dryer which is inserted from the inside out. The drum shaft fits through the sleeve bearing (key#3106) and it has also been known to make a screeching noise.
