eager beaver 28cc...how to get to starter rope. How to take cable shaft/pulley off of head to get cover off

A:

There are several different types of the Eager Beaver 28cc trimmers. Without the model number, we cannot see the type that you have. That trimmer is manufactured by McCulloch. You can probably access and view a parts list diagram on the McCulloch website.  Here is a link for that website: McCulloch.com

You are probably to the point where you need to remove the clutch. You may see a small Torx head screw in the center of the clutch drum. Remove that screw and slide the clutch drum off. If the engine shaft turns when you are removing the screw, remove the spark plug and fill the cylinder with small clean rope. The rope will jam the piston and stop the engine from turning.

Remove the screws holding the fan housing to the engine and remove the fan housing. The rope and the starter pulley are inside the fan housing.

Be very careful removing the starter pulley and spring. The spring will unwind violently if it is released.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details and the model number of your trimmer.

Q:

general info regarding Sears 200 12 gauge shotgun

A:

Thank you for your question on the 12 gauge Sears Shotgun.

The model 200 series is a pretty broad model series.

Somewhere on the gun there is an actual Sears’s model number.

I think it will be a model 273.2011. I see that you have seen the link to the model but at you can tell there could be a number of barrels from 26 to 28 inch and different chokes.

If this is the model number it is a: 273.2011 Winchester 1200

Please check for the exact model number on the gun.

I will give you a link to the parts break down and you will see all the options that there are for this model.

Once you load the chamber the gun is ready to shoot if the safety is off by pulling the trigger.

This is pretty light gun for its caliber but I do not know exactly what it weighs. It will depend on the barrel length on your particular model and if it was changed to a different barrel.
