Q:

What does the error code E30 indicate on my front load washer model 41744092500?

A:

The E30 error code indicates that you either have a water level pressure sensor that is not communicating with the electronic control board or that you have a water overfill condition. The E30 is a class error code. It indicates that a failure occurred that generated an error code in the "thirties" range. The only codes in this range are the E31 (Pressure sensor not communicating with the control board) or the E35 (Overfill). To determine the specific failure, follow the procedure in the first image below.

If you are getting the E31 code, I recommend unplugging the washer and checking the wire harness connection between the water level pressure sensor and the electronic control board. If the harness is okay, then the pressure sensor will need to be replaced. You can order a new pressure sensor from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number is 134762000. If you have the same problem after the pressure sensor is replaced, then the electronic control board will need to be replaced.

If you are getting the E35 error code, check the water level in the washer. The normal water level is shown in the image below. The overfill error should occur at 4.5 inches. If the depth of the fill water is below 4.5 inches, then the water level pressure sensor will need to be replaced. If this does not correct the problem, then the electronic control board will need to be replaced.

If the water continues to enter the washer when it is powered off and completely unplugged, then you likely have a failed inlet water valve assembly. Shut the water supply faucets behind the washer to see if the filling stops. If it does, then the inlet water valve assembly will need to be replaced. If the washer fills with the supply faucets shut and the unit unplugged, then water is siphoning back into the washer through the drain line. This is normally caused by an improper drain line installation. Check your installation guide to make sure that the drain system is installed correctly.

If water stops filling when power is disconnected to the washer, then it is likely that you have a failed electronic control board that is sending voltage to the inlet water solenoid fill valves. Replacing the control board would normally correct this problem.

These tips should help you resolve this washer problem. If you are not completely confident in your technical ability to safely access and repair this failure yourself, I recommend calling a service technician to fix the washer.

If you attempt this repair yourself and need more help, resubmit your question with additional details if you need more help.

Q:

Kenmore Elite induction glasstop range gives error codes E30 & E70, plus it will only beep even after hard reset. What does each code mean, & why two error code

A:

The error codes E30/E70 implies the AC input voltage is too high.

NOTE: I do not recommend attempting to diagnose and repair your induction range or nor would I recommend attempting to check any voltages or components. Induction ranges are very complex electronic appliances.

I suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your induction range. A technician would have to make the following checks listed below.

1. Measure the house voltage at the main incoming connections on the Filter Circuit Board, between terminals X1,X2 and X4,X5 the voltage should be 240 Volts AC ± 10%.

2. Inspect electrical jumpers from X1 to X2 and X4 to X5.

3. Terminal X6 is your chassis ground wire.

4. If proper voltage is present, replace the Filter Circuit Board.

Call Sears at 1-800-4MY-HOME or 1-800-469-4663 to set up a service appointment.
