Question and Answers

Q:

Drag Link

A:

Thank you for your question on the drag link for the Craftsman tractor.

I have been looking all over to try and find one but have not been successful. Sometimes you can find an after market one but not for this one.

You may want to take the old one and see if it can have new ends put on it.

I am sorry that I could not find one for you.

Q:

Craftsman drag cultivator

A:

Thank you for your question on the old Craftsman/David Bradley spike tooth harrow.

I apologize that Sears no longer has the manual for this drag.

I did find one on line from a Lawn and Garden web site and I will give you a link so you can decide if you want to purchase it from them.

JD Lawn tractor Craftsman old manuals .

I hope this will help.

Q:

how to install link drag on 272462 lawn tractor

A:

I recommend removing the mowing deck from the tractor to replace the drag link. I have provided the instruction for removing the deck below. With the deck off the tractor, the drag link is more accessible. I have provided you with an image below show where the drag link connects. The drag link is held in place by a nut on each end. Once the nuts are removed, the drag link will come out. Reassemble in the reverse order.
