Q:

How do I change the blades on my Lawn Tractor mower?

A:

Thank you for you question.

I am sorry you are having a problem removing the blades. Once the tractor is lifted, hold the blade with a gloved hand. Then loosen the bolt with the other hand. If you do not have enough strength to loosen the bolt, you can slip a pipe over the end of the wrench to give you more leverage. If you cannot hold the blade, you can place a block of wood between the blade tip and the mower housing. The image below shows where it should be placed. This will jam the blade and keep it from turning.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply below with more details.

Q:

the spin cycle is getting loud on my washer

A:

Hi Jon,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I understand your situation, these are tough economic times. Biguggy is correct; you are most likely looking at a bearing issue. It is not effective to grease or lubricate damaged bearings. And as Biguggy mentioned you will probably need more than just the rear tub with bearings.

Q:

What is the bearing number (not assembly part number) on a model 417.40142000 front loading washer?

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry we do not have the bearing information. Most of the time the bearing will have the number printed on it. If you are unable to find the number, I recommend removing the bearing and take it to the bearing company. They will be able to measure the bearing and find the correct one for you. I have never tried to remove the bearing in one of these. I recommend supporting the tub before using a puller.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
