Question and Answers

Q:

Magtag gas dryer #DG7500: unit heats irradically. I tested continuity on ignitor, ok. Replaced thermostate #303395. Tested continuity on

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Place a normal load in the dryer and then open the access door to the burner on the front panel and start the dryer. You will need to pull up a chair and monitor the glow bar igniter and burner for at least 10-15 minutes or until you find the glow bar igniter glowing red and then fading off without burner ignition. If you find the igniter glowing and fading off with burner ignition; replace the solenoid coils on the gas valve. When they get hot they can become too weak to open the gas valve.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
