Question and Answers

Q:

where can I find a Dyson vacuum filter (little round filter) for less than $40.00? This price is outrageous. filter is a 6 inch round, rubber enclosed, unit.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting a replacement filter at a cheaper price. This filter is washable.

The Sears parts direct is offering the Pre-filter 911236-01 for $25.49 plus shipping.

I went on line and found one for about $18.00 plus shipping.

DC17prefilter

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

fix dyson vaccuum

A:

Without a description of what you are trying to put together, I can only give you general information.

You can see a parts diagram and list for the vacuum at [www.searspartsdirect.com]. The parts diagram shows the order the parts are installed in and usually what holds them in place.

I hope you are able to get the vacuum assembled using the parts diagram as a guide.

Q:

Why does the suction in the wand collapse the hose so that it will not provide suction at the end in my Dyson DC17 vacuum cleaner?

A:

According to what I understand from your description, it sounds like you have a clog or restriction in the wand. I recommend checking the wand for a clog or restriction. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details and we will help you further.
